Fire Detection Towers
Solar-powered fire detection towers for timber frame construction sites
- Detects flames at up to 50 metres
- Stand-alone & solar powered – no site power needed
- Response officer dispatched & fire service contacted
Our stand-alone fire detection towers keep watch over construction sites 24/7, detecting flames at ranges of up to 50 metres. The moment a flame is detected, the activation is relayed to our manned monitoring station – we dispatch a response officer to site and contact the emergency services immediately, so a fire is dealt with before it can take hold of your build.
Designed with timber frame builds in mind, our fire detection towers protect construction sites across Yorkshire, the North East, Hull, Wakefield, Leeds, Lancashire, the Midlands and Wales.

Built for timber frame builds
Timber frame construction carries a heightened fire risk while the build is exposed, before fire-stopping and protection are complete – and many insurers and site safety plans now expect dedicated fire surveillance. Our fire detection towers provide a continuous, automated fire watch across the whole build, covering the gap where patrols and passive alarms fall short.
Detection with a real response
Each tower detects flames at up to 50 metres and relays the activation instantly to our monitoring station. Operators verify the alert live, dispatch one of our response officers to site and contact the emergency services straight away – saving the minutes that matter most in the early stages of a fire.
Stand-alone & solar powered
Fully self-contained and solar powered, our fire detection towers run independently of site power and infrastructure. They deploy rapidly, reposition as your build develops, and work alongside our monitored CCTV towers, K9 units and mobile patrols for complete site protection.
Fire detection towers can be hired on their own or combined with our monitored CCTV towers and pods for full site security and fire safety cover from day one on site.
Solar-powered fire detection towerFire detection tower FAQs
Do fire detection towers need mains power?
No. Our towers are completely stand-alone and solar powered, so they run independently of site power and infrastructure. That means they can be deployed on day one of a build, before services are connected, and repositioned as the site develops.
How far can a tower detect a flame?
Each tower detects flames at a range of up to 50 metres, giving wide coverage across a construction site. On larger builds, multiple towers can be positioned to cover the full footprint of the project.
What happens when a fire is detected?
The activation is relayed instantly to our 24/7 manned monitoring station. Our operators verify the alert, dispatch a response officer to site and contact the emergency services immediately, so a fire is acted on in minutes, not discovered hours later.
